Series 3 Aluminum Frame - The standard and step-through versions of Sausalito feature a Series 3 aluminum frame with butted tubes and robust forgings, specifically designed to house the drive unit and removable battery, as well as mount a variety of commute accessories directly to the frame. Shimano STEPS - The Sausalito 2 features the Shimano STEPS E6100 motor system with 250 Watts and 60Nm of torque have a good get up and go feeling, with a long range and enough power to get you over the steepest of climbs. The Sausalito 1 features a Shimano STEPS E5000 system with 250 Watts and 40Nm of torque. Forks - The BMX inspired steel fork on Sausalito 1 and 63mm travel suspension fork on Sausalito 2 smooth out and stabilize the front of the bike when roads get rough. 418 Watt Hour Removable Battery - The 418 Wh battery is secured directly to the frame with a key lock and is easy to remove to carry with you for charging.

Series 4 Aluminum Frame Alpine Trail E models are built upon our Series 4 aluminum frames, with detailed forgings, highly manipulated tubes, and full internal cable routing, giving the rider the highest-end alloy frame that Marin offers, compatible with modern coil or air shocks. MultiTrac Suspension The Alpine Trail E features the same great, proven MultiTrac suspension technology, but optimized for the Shimano STEPS system. With this combination, there is no need for platform or lockout levers, just get on and blast up the hills. Mixed Wheel Sizes 29" front and 27.5"+ rear wheel sizes are the ideal combination for the Alpine Trail E—the larger front wheel easily rolls over most any trail obstacle and offers the best cornering traction, while the burly 27.5 x 2.8" rear setup adds playfulness and enhances acceleration and braking traction. Dropper Post Optimized The modern-day trail rider needs their saddle out of the way at times, while low-slung frames require longer length posts.
